In The Beginning

Standard

At first Chaos came to be, but next wide bosomed Gaia, the ever-sure foundations of all...”
Hesiod’s Theogony

Wide, vast, and manifold, whose bounds are distant,—these, reverent, I address at this our worship,
The blessed Pair, victorious, all-sustaining. Protect us, Heaven and Earth, from fearful danger. “
Rig Veda, Hymn CLXXXV

The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao;
The name that can be named is not the eternal name.
The nameless is the beginning of heaven and earth.
Lao Tse, Tao Te Ching ch.1

“….But the sea followed after you, and her song is still with you…
And though you have forgotten your parentage…for ever will she call you unto her.”
Khalil Gibran

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God

  1. Movement. A constant in your artwork, Nick.
Each panel appears to tell a part of the whole, “Darkness into Light”, an appropriately beautiful back tracking for viewing your story.
My eyes see in the third panel, the birthing of the spiral. Gift. Source point. Journey. Thus a kind of “Ground Hog Day” until the path towards self evolution begins to sustain itself…

    • … a Path worth following till the marvelous view waiting at the end.
What I love about feedback as yours is that it allows me to see my creation through your eyes.
That in itself is not only valuable and inspiring but reassuring, in the sense that I probably did something right.
      Thank you, Denise.
