I am Spira, my name is Nick and I am from Hellas. Other than that, I find no purpose in writing who I am.

As one wise said, you don’t ask a flower what’s its purpose; you simply admire it, smell it, share its energy or ignore it.

What is important though, is whether my art has any influence on you. As such, any feedback/ comment is greatly appreciated.

I must note that most of the driftwood are gathered by the sun and stars of my life. To her I also owe greatly the fact I am able to create in so depressing times.

Thank you for your time & interest. Be always well.

May your reading and viewing of the Spira world offer you memorable moments.

  2. Hey nick, Your work is absolutely amazing. I too am fascinated with the ancients. I think we would all be better off if we reconnect to our roots. Thank you for sharing this with me.

    • Hey Beni, thank you! I am glad you liked my work. As far as ancients go, well that’s a big discussion. I am gently touching the subject with the “Where Gods once walked” series of photographs. Coming up soon is the next part with Egypt.
Again, thank you and all the best for you and your family bro.

  6. As I’ve been pondering for a week, and just noticed my prior comments as Staarlz 2 yrs ago, I’m wondering if I should tell you something or not. It’s a compliment, I think–surely not a criticism, but it may sound weird: There’s something about you that is both intimidating/scary and inviting/welcoming. Maybe you’ve heard all that before–and it’s only what I perceive from the distance of a PC screen, anyway. Maybe it brings back a memory from a lifetime ago–when I was a girl in high school…young, naive, scared of everything. There was a guy, similar in appearance to you–very scary looking, so I would only take quick glances at him, and look away. We never had a relationship, not even friendship–but somewhere along the line I heard that he was actually as kind and good as he was quiet, a protector to many of the voiceless. Okay…feel free to delet all this if it seems nonsence. God bless you.

    • Dear V, I was wondering if you would visit; I am glad you did.
Your insight is as strong as it was two years ago, when you told me ” Deep calls to deep”.
You are not mistaken… both the intimidating and the welcoming aspects are present. Reserved for those who respectively deserve them.
      Nonsense your words are not.
Endless inspiration and joy I wish you.

      • Oh…bless you, dear son. I’m lifting up prayers for you today–and hope we’ll get to know each other better as time plays on. Thank you so much for your kind and generous response to my ponderings.

  7. Sorry to interrupt…I’m stopping by quickly to say that I have a small gift for you. It will post at noon 3/28 PDT. I briefly considered requesting to borrow something from your gallery to accompany it, but didn’t want to be obvious. Your work is impressive, powerful, and I do have a few beautiful favorites. This is a heavy week–I pray you are well. Vee

  8. I just stopped by to see how you are. I come here and look at your art, and the tears begin. Then I look at your face…no smile, and arms in defensive, protective stance, and tears continue–merely a quiet trickle, but the well is deep. Why do you have this mysterious effect on me…are you really the son of my heart, or nephew? I keep thinking, actually seeing the visual of the poem I wrote for you recently…the walking by your artist studio’s window. It all feels so big inside me, and sacred somehow. Please take care of yourself…I could easily become scared for you. Maybe you’ve been sent as Muse–and if I would continue writing those poems, like the “Window”, there might be healing–for me, a least. God bless you ~ Vee.

    • Thank you, Vee.
I am fine & hope you are doing well, too.

Well, Vee, you have to look deeper than first impressions… for example, the behavioral analysis of hands posture is not valid in this case, as it is only a stance felt right at the moment.
And smiling… nope, very rarely I do in photos.
Add to the mix that I don’t enjoy having my picture taken… et voila!

I cannot ( and even if I could, I won’t )control how everyone perceives me.
But I do hope my art provides you specks of inspiration… and if that results to any measure of healing, then my work is done.

” If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you.”

Take it easy, Vee, and be kind to yourself.
