Illusions
Ink bleeds on the parchment, as the quill remains in limbo…a heartbeat that was not, a storm of words heavy as hope-sinking stones…scrive.
Veritas.
Incola.
Sepulchrum.
Angelus.
No need for more ink…it is… without…

Apt music for the wondrous release of . . . the imagination? a divine being called forth? Words have that power.

Words do have power.
Thank you, Dora.

I like your phrase: “a storm of words heavy as hope-sinking stones” and the brevity of the story. What comes to mind is hope-sinking despair may also be an illusion.

You are so right, Frank.
And this is our daily struggle, isn’t it?
I appreciate a lot your insights, Frank; thank you.

You had me at “ink bleeds”, Nick. You could have stopped there and your piece would have been wondrous but I’m glad you continued. Cleverly constructed and beautifully written. The video is inspiring and the perfect match for this ink. ✍🏻
Bravo, caro amico. Goditi questa bella giornata 💫

As much as I’m on the poem-deaf side of the writing thing, I do loves me strange words. Not so strange as to be alien, but strange enough to resonate into my personal past. (Thinking back to catholic grade school and high school in the ’60s. Both with their own lingua franca that time tends to blend).
Pleasing Sixifying, yo

Can’t say I have written it as a poem but I am glad it pleased you regardless, Clark.

Very fresh and imaginative way to work “visa” into your piece! Love the musical selection, too.

I like the acrostic. It’s a clever way to incorporate the prompt word.

Artful brevity in words, Nick. They are carefully carried by your musical selection, spreading like the ink upon the parchment where words don’t require writing. They simply are…without…

Can you hear that?…
…it may seem like brevity but it’s only silence between words.
Martha Argerich once said that, (after her immense corpus of piano music), silence between notes played is the one definitive, magical part of music.
Thank you, Denise.

Or prophetic words (and silences)?
Thank you, Liz.

Nice. Nicely paced, nicely spaced, the silences between bring a mystical melody to this.
