It is with great joy & gratitude that this creation marks a new year of inSPIRAtion
Two reasons are mainly responsible for that :
-the driftwood was collected by my mom and she kept it for me, feeling it had potential. And was she right!
– The second reason is Fanie.
A woman out of this world, whom I love & respect a lot.
Apart from being a wonderful human being, she is also a professional dancer, with Flamenco as her specialty.
I remember telling her after seeing her perform for the first time, that a seed of inspiration has been planted…
And was I right! This creation is born out of her warm soul, passion & dedication.
A few days ago I had the privilege of experiencing her latest performance with a cast of fantastic dancers in the ” House of Bernarda Alba” of Federico G. Lorca.
Directed brilliantly by Stavros Litinas, was simply one of the most powerful, enchanting, moving performances I have ever seen.
So, thank you Fanie, frrrrrr (you know..!)
I hope you’ll enjoy “ Balanceo y vaivén “.
(from the Flamenco glossary : Balanceo y vaivén is the swaying of the hips with balanceo being gentle movement and vaivén being more violent. )
May you all have a year that will bring you closer to your dreams.

(from the Flamenco glossary : Balanceo y vaivén είναι η κίνηση των γοφών με το balanceo να είναι πιο ήπια και το vaivén πιο βίαιη. )

What a way to begin this decade my friend. Your talent for bringing out beauty, light and movement in found objects always amazes and delights. Kudos to your mom and Fanie for lighting the torches, but big bravo to you for making that sculpture dance! With each camera perspective you see a different move – a slender waist, a curved hip, a bent arm, an arched back, a tilted neck… the fan, the red dress… the water reflection… all incredible.

Let me start by saying a big thank you (again) for the detailed thoughts.
You know , it’s a constant question mark in me whether anyone else sees what I see.
Of course the impact of any art form should be beyond prescription; I am talking about these small details , like the ones you described.
So,you understand…
Isn’t it a pity teleportation isn’t a thing yet…then it would be only a question of wine or single malt (or one more coffee )😉

What a magnificent work of art by such a talented artist, but also a truly wonderful person! I wouldn’t expect anything else but another masterpiece. I absolutely love it!

My dear Panagiotis, you just made my Sunday morning.
And that’s no small feat cause as the poet says: “too much Sunday for one person”.
And it is double the pleasure of your appreciation since your relationship to the art of dance is intimate.
Thank you so much!

I will never forget
The first time I saw you dancing.
Your movements flew like sounds in nature.
Captivated by the way you created lines in space.
Straight, curvy, gentle, violent.
My heart was racing,
A dance through time.
What time?
Everything went still.
