The fifth time when she forbore for weakness & attributed her patience to strength.

The sixth time when she despised the ugliness of a face & knew not that it was one of her own masks.

And the seventh time when she sang a song of praise & deemed it a virtue. “

Πρώτη, όταν την είδα να καμώνεται πραότητα για να κερδίσει ύψος παραπάνω.

Δεύτερη, όταν την είδα να καμώνεται χωλότητα ενώπιον του σακάτη.

Τρίτη, όταν της επετράπη να διαλέξει μεταξύ εύκολου και δύσκολου
& διάλεξε την ευκολία.

Τέταρτη, όταν έσφαλε & παρηγόρησε τον εαυτό της βλέποντας σφάλματα άλλων.

Πέμπτη, όταν υπέμεινε την αδυναμία & απέδωσε την υπομονή της στη δύναμη.

Έκτη, όταν καταφρόνησε ενός προσώπου την ασχήμια,
δίχως να ξέρει ότι έβλεπε μία απ’τις δικές της μάσκες.

Έβδομη, τέλος, όταν έψαλλε εγκώμιο υμνητικό & το θεώρησε αρετή μεγάλη.”
